Abayahs or Abas
The abayah was worn in ancient Isreal and remains a part of traditional Middle Eastern clothing today. Our abayahs are made in the traditional, simple pattern with large sleeve openings.

The abayah consists of a rectangular piece of woolen or linen cloth, sewed together so that the front and the two openings on the sides for the arms are unstitched. Like the fellah of to-day, so the poor Israelite of ancient times wrapped himself in this garment at night to keep warm (Ex. xxii. 26; Deut. xxiv. 13).

  • Our abayahs are made from cotton or cotton blend fabric. They are 54 to 59 inches across, depending on the width of the fabric.
  • One size fits everyone and is traditionally worn with a Wide Sash
  • Custom Abayahs are made to fit your height.
  • Can be worn over an Undertunic, a Simple Robe or Drawstring Pants and a T-Tunic.
  • Middle eastern clothing. Worn in ancient Isreal.
