The middle ages started around 400s when the Roman empire fell apart and the Pax Roman
or Roman peace was gone and civilization essentially fell apart.
The German tribes were quite successful and needed more land for their growing population,
so they expanded into several different areas.
This map shows the migration of the different tribes and the years they occured.
