This costume would have been worn in many places in Early Period, by Celts, Jutes, Romans living in England. The wool acted as both a decoration as well as a cloak.
The complete costume consists of a robe with key hole neck and long narrow sleeves, a plaid 2 yard Laena/Arisaid, rope belt and brass penicular brooch..
It is thought that the Laena/Arisaid was put on while lying down, similar to the Great Kilt.
